Keeping Up With Life's Challenges

It has been a pretty long time since I have written a personal blog. I think about writing in my blog all the time and even have all kind of subjects listed in my journal of what I would like to write about. But my life has been so busy lately, that I have put blogging on the back burner somewhat. Good thing is that I do like the new challenges in my life, and look forward to them each day.

As I wrote about in a few previous blogs a couple of months ago, I joined a social networking site called Rotatrix Friends Network , or RFN for short. RFN has had some growing pains as any new fast growing site would have, which in return called for a lot of changes. One of the new changes was getting rid of the old administrators and replacing them with new ones. Any I am one of the new administrators there, along with my husband and two other people, who are very good friends of mine that I grew to know and love while I was Exec. staff at RFN. This position at RFN keeps us all on our toes, as so much needs to be done, and so many things are in the works, which is expected with so many members of almost 14,000 and still growing so fast. Thankfully, we all work so well together, and have accomplished a great deal within the network.

Besides RFN, and my regular personal life, I have been writing advertising blogs for Smorty, and I really enjoy the extra income from doing that, as it only takes me a few minutes to write the blogs. While there are several opportunities to write on, I only choose the ones that I feel comfortable with. It takes me longer to research the product I am going to write about, then writing the blog itself.

Other news in my life is that Renee, my daughter, will not have to return to Iraq. I am so happy that I do not have to worry and be stressed out about her being over there again.

Anyway, just letting the readers catch up with what has been going on in my life and why I have not been blogging much. I am hoping to get better organized in the future, and start back to my blogging on a more regular basis.

Hugs to all!

  1. hmm, I don't know what happened, but I tried posting a comment and it wouldn't let me. I'm glad I made a copy, so if this is a duplicate, then you can just toss it.

Katie, it's good to see you posting again. I'm so happy that your daughter will not have to return to Iraq, I wondered how things were going with her.

My older son has a friend who will be shipping off to Iraq in July.

It's also good that you're having fun in your network, although I wish it didn't take quite so much of your time away from your blog (very selfish, I know).

Have you heard anything from Daria lately? I miss her blog so much, and I've not heard a peep from her at all. I hope I didn't say or do anything that hurt or offended her.

Anyway, just wanted to pop in and say it's good to see you again.

    Take care.

  2. Hey ms. Karen,

Is that you peeking at me with your avatar? It is so good to hear from you. I really have missed blogging and am going to try and blog more, at least once a week if possible. I also need to get over and check your blogs. I have missed the humor. LOL

Daria sold her design website and wrote a blog about it. http://dariablack.wordpress.com/

I have meant to email her and see how life is going with her, but have not done that yet. I also have meant to email you as well. I am so behind on things. I chatted with James Landrith the other night for about an hour. Things are going well for him. He still rants about you know who. LOL I am still working on my book when I get time, but have added new characters, such as the one I wrote in my last blog of What Lies Beneath.

What I need to do is take a day just for emails and see how everyone is doing and update them more. I have not talked to Mid in ages as well. Also maybe use that day to catch up on blog reading, such as yours, and leaving comments.

Anyway, great to hear from you. Hugs always, Katie
