Rose Sheds Snake Skins~Namaste?

and also James Landrith Shriviled Roses, and a new plot concerning the silly story of Landrith Lord Matt. Rose is trying to convince James to close the comments section to two posts detailing his unsavory run in with her. The incident happened in Sept. 2005 and every so often over the past 8 months a comment popped up from someone suffering from Rose's antisocial behavior. Then all of a sudden a comment showed up attacking James Landrith and from there it's been interesting ever since. The number one problem I see is that Rose continuously devalues and dehumanizes people who say negative things about her. In her own words, which you can read on her blog where she sounds off that she is harrassed, and she pretty much infers that all the negative things said about her are fake even though she acknowledges that she's hurt people with her behavior. (Yeah, I'm still trying to wrap my brain around that one too). The fact of the matter is that the gripes people have with her are legitimate. I am not speaking out against some strawman here.

Rose's own words and actions have defined her both in the past and in the present as a troll and bully. I was there when she was a member of Writers weekly.


I saw what she did to the place. If you look hard enough, you will still be able to find what I read and saw, as well as many others. Rose needs to realize that her dismissal of these very real complaints against her as irrelevant and fraudulent is at the root of her problems. She has shown over and over that, contrary to her post, she really doesn't care that she has hurt other people. All she cares about is surrounding herself with people who will do nothing but bow down and worship the ground she walks on. That's fine. I have no problem with that. I would love to have a gaggle of worshippers. Who wouldn't? My thoughts on this is don't be sneaky about it. Put up your intentions in an obvious place so that people who are not interested can walk a wide circle around you. She also has the nerve to bitch about the fact that people will not allow the members of her site to come and post positive things about her in her defense and/or we disparage the fact that they do. Correct me if I'm wrong but when has she ever let anyone come to the defense of people she is at odds with on any of her sites? Does she even let people come to her site and rebuttal her claims against them? Does anyone know? Anyone? Bueller? In conclusion here is my direct response to Rose's post. I didn't bother to post it on her blog because I know it will not be published and possibly misunderstood but I felt the need to respond anyway:

Dear Mrs. Desrochers,
Namaste is a beautiful word that was taught to me by an offline friend. There is no direct translation for it but the general meaning is, "I recognize that which is divine within you" or the more secular version (seeing as I am an atheist and all) "I recognize your humanity". Whenever I deal with difficult people, this word and its associated concept is always at the forefront of my thoughts. It serves to remind me that good or bad the person in front of me is still human and still deserving of the basic respect that that entails. Having said that, I think that is important that you realize that your behavior is unacceptable. It is not once or twice that you have offended people. Quite the contrary, there are multitudes upon multitudes of instances where you have gone out of your way to be a bane to someone. Therefore at this point, simply apologizing is not enough. It's a start but talk is cheap and your transgressions require a little more effort on your part in order for them to be forgiven. You must understand that you have earned people's enmity and distrust and that you'll have to work twice as hard to earn their forgiveness. The first thing you can do is learn to control yourself and reign in your outbursts. Take a class in interpersonal communication and diplomacy. I assure you it will be money well spent. If you can't afford that, you're web savvy, look it up on the internet. Here is a good site on conflict management and there are other websites~~~~~~~~~ that you can google~~~~~~~~ out there that will teach you how to manage conflict effectively and get along with people. The second thing you can do is work on your comprehension skills. Stop skimming material. Slow down and read each word. If you don't know what a word means, look up in the dictionary. Many of your conflicts come from you misunderstanding what someone has said and then you make assumptions about what they meant. Stop making assumptions. All it does it make an Ass out of U. Not only that, it makes you look...unintelligent and as a "Freelance Writer" that's the last thing you want. It will take a lot of time and effort to overcome your bad rep but I assure you it can be done. And even then there will still be people who don't like you and people who are unable to forgive what you did to them. That's life. But most people will be willing to give you a second chance, you just have to prove that you're worth it.

To Katie's readers, I realize that I've probably wasted a chunk of writing time that could have been used on more productive things such as plucking out all of those gray hairs that mysteriously appeared on my 31st birthday. Even if Rose reads this, she probably won't care enough to try to change or she'll just come back with some nasty remark about how we're continuing to put her down and bully her. That's fine. I just don't want it to be said that I did not give her a chance. One thing that I've always believed, and will continue to believe, is that even the worst of us can change. I do realize that ultimately it is their choice but I feel that meeting someone halfway is giving them rope and enough slack to either climb up out of the darkness or hang themselves. Either way the decision is in their hands. And with that I say Namaste.

I did change some wording in this blog that was written by Indigo. I hope she approves. I did so because some of the links did not work that she gave me when it came to placing it on the blog, which caused me to rearrange some words and writings and to use cache effect. (And I did add some of my own thoughts to things). My intent was not to change what she wrote on, yet I did expanded on it more. Personally, I think what she wrote was well thought out and very kind concerning this situation. She is much kinder than I would be, and maybe I need to think on that. And I might think on that when I see how the plot expands and the stories that can be told concerning her. I am still thinking on this. I do get concerned with articles Rose writes, such as Teens, Blogs & Internet Safety concerning childrens pictures on the Internet Highway that she is so against, AND

then questioned on her own website, Hopes & Hugs for Children where she gives a picture and then links and a great deal of information on these children. . NOW do not get me wrong, I think it is a wonderful site and one that needs attention to. My only question is why does she make a statement of such things and then places things on her site that she writes in articles against?

I have learned that a Rose can come in many colors and can have many names, such as:

Even the famous artist REDOUTE teaches us about colors and names of different Roses! And as Rose pointed out in her blog concerning three sides to a story, she is right, there is one SIDE and the other side and then the truth! And I am speaking the truth to the best of my knowledge & with great research & thought, and I am sorry if I piss others off concerning this and I refuse to hide behind a religious picture as an example concerning this situation. Truth is proof with me, and I think I have a great deal of the cards in the deck to make my point. What is nice about this, is that I am not bluffing.
