Hello everyone!! I hope your life has been well. Today we finally got our phone service. Talk about slow business! When we ordered the service, it was supposed to be 2 to 5 days, but as it turned out, it was 14 working days. And since it is dial up, life on the Internet Super highway is a whole lot slower. I guess that is what we get for living so far out in the country.
Not long into the move, I had a name for my first blog, and I was going title it "Nothing According To Plans", but as time when on, and things kept happening, I decided it would be almost book length by the time I got done with it. You will just have to trust me when I say that we faced many obstacles and challenges concerning this move. Right now you could probably find our picture under the definition of "Murphy's Law".
But I wrote this while sitting on my back porch, before putting it into blog form, and it is a beautiful day, and overlooking the property is a comforting and calming feeling. Of all the things that did not go as planned or expected (or happened when unexpected for that matter), I must admit that it was worth it all. We are very happy with our new home and surroundings, and life is good.
I just wanted to let everyone know that I am back, have missed everyone and will write more when I can.
Hugs,
Katie
Katie!!!!
ReplyDeleteWelcome back! I'm glad things are settling down for you, and that you're enjoying your new home.
Maybe you'll be able to get a satellite hookup or something faster than dial-up. It's sure been quiet around here without you.
Take care,
Karen
woooohooooo!! So glad to see you are back...I've checked this EVERY day!!! I'm so glad you are settled in enough to sit on the porch and relax for a moment. Yes we did indeed miss you...can't wait to hear about your adventures! hugs, mid
ReplyDeleteHey ms. karen and Mid. Boy did I miss the both of you and your wonderful humor.
ReplyDeleteI hope to write soon, but for now things are still pretty hectic. Took me all day long to filter out my email from almost a month. And I had so many emails and things I needed to take care of.
We do love the home. It is on almost 2 acres of land and is just excellent for growing flowers and plants and herbs. We know nothing about growing anything, so we have a lot we will need to learn. We have a book titled 10,000 gardening questions, and Jim says that is not enough questions for us. LOL
We have banana plants around the deck of the pool and they actually produce. Several rose bushes and other plants and trees. (It is just an above ground pool, but the kids love it. Really nice place to relaxe and have a cook out.)
Will try and write more when I can.
I forgot to mention in my blog about how much I wanted to thank Indigo for taking care of my blog. It really meant a lot to me.If you are reading this Indigo, thank you so much. You certainly have been a wonderful friend.
Hugs,
Katie
Welcome back, Katie! I'm glad the move was safe (if not as smooth as planned), and that you made it in one piece.

Welcome back Katie. You have been sorely missed. Sorry the move didn't go as smoothly as you thought but what move does?
ReplyDeleteBig Hugs.
